This performance represents the life of Sherry Wickman, a young woman who has recently earned her master’s degree in art therapy only to find herself moving back home with her family, sending out countless résumés, and waiting for the job offer that never comes.
After all, Sherry finds her consolation and comfort within the house of her childhood. Until an unexpected employment opportunity gives her a reason to fight depression and sadness. The main character displays how she is seeking a purpose and hope, bouncing back from setbacks in life.
On the other hand, there are new troubles, likewise, a conflict of parents and children, her therapy patient would do just one of his home tasks, her new boss and other situations will await Sherry to overcome difficulties in the life.
“Tigers Be Still” is an award-winning play by American playwright Kim Rosenstock, who is also a writer on the popular TV show, New Girl. This staging of the play is directed by Gautam Goenka, co-founder and artistic director of The Junction.
